| I must have missed New Years Day but January 2nd was a warm one. I saw it in stages. First a cool phase;
Then it warmed up some;
Finally a hot orange sky;
And then back to a pink winter sky;
January 4th another warm day, at least in my living room. But when I opened the window to take pictures, very cold;
I asked the Top Comments crew if they could spot the airplane in these. The photos are a little bigger this time;
I used to call January 6th "Little Christmas" when I was a boy.
On January 7th I posted the sunrise in Cheers and Jeers then took a nice long walk in the park;
Then came home to nice view for cooking dinner;
A strong sun after an unseasonably warm day;
With a photo finish;
Yesterday it snowed in New York. I took a walk in Central Park and saw a Red Tailed Hawk. I don't know if it was Pale Male or not;
When I got home last night it looked like there would be no sunset to photograph;
Then the clouds lifted;
And the sun shined for the first time;
For a pretty nice snow day sunset;
And a nice winter afterglow to welcome back the deep freeze;
Just one from tonight. The ice is back on the Hudson;
Hopefully this year with my new telephoto, I'll be able to get some shots of the bald headed eagles fishing off the ice flows. What a sight that is in New York City. |
