Over the past several weeks, many people have noticed that our RSS feed (which also goes out to Twitter) was broken. It took me some time to track down what the problem was but I did, and I've fixed it. In other words, if you subscribe to LVL on Twitter or via RSS, you're good to go.

Got the hamsters back on their wheels, eh? (4.00 / 1)

yup (4.00 / 1)
apparently it was something that impacted a number of Soapblox sites and it had to do with the purchase of Feedburner by Google and maybe its interaction with Google Analytics. I unclicked one setting on Feedburner and that fixed the whole thing - but it was TOTALLY not obvious until someone told me what to do.

Heh, sometimes the solutions are so simple and not obvious (4.00 / 2)
I upgraded some software once, and I couldn't get it to recognize the registration key. For two days the tech support guy, who was one of the software's programers, went back and forth via email trying to figure out what was wrong.

Finally I decided to give up after two days of fighting with the thing, and...I...turned...off...the...computer.

When I turned the thing back on the next day, voila! The software worked fine, registry key and all.

I emailed the tech support guy and told him what I'd done. He was astounded. He said "You hadn't rebooted the system? That's why it didn't work, you always reboot after you enter the key."

Heh, go figure.....

it was weird (4.00 / 2)
because it affected many soapblox sites, but not others. Bleeding Heartland didn't have any problems from it.

I kinda made the switch... (4.00 / 1)
My new laptop is a Mac, but I'm still on the ole' desktop pc because I don't have wireless internet in the apartment yet.  Another month or so, probably...

Oh, but the thing is a beautiful machine, can't wait to use it somewhere besides the coffee shop!

I'm on a mac (4.00 / 1)
2 macs actually, because I had one, gave it to my bro, got a new one, and then got the old one back when my brother died. I love 'em. But it was a bit of a learning curve in the first few days after getting the first mac.
