Malia and Sasha (4.00 / 5)

I looked through a lot of photos of the state dinner and didn't see any of Malia and Sasha. Not that I want to tell the Obamas how to run their family, but I wonder if the kids wanted to attend. I think I would have in their place.

I'm sure Sasha and Malia are great (4.00 / 5)

but having kids around foreign diplomats could be like having a coupla loose cannons (i.e. "My daddy says we're crazy to let your country have nukes, but it's worth it if you'll help us steal the world's oil in return.") Plus, I'm all for letting kids be kids and not putting the weight of the world on them.

I was thinking more (4.00 / 3)

of what the girls might tell their classmates next week. I wasn't thinking of it as a weighty outing, but you could be right.
