I bet the stadiums up in your area (4.00 / 1)
have some good grub. The SF Giants stadium is pricey but good.. they've got a cajun chicken rice bowl that's real food... everyone likes the garlic fries but I think they use too much garlic.

good news on the oysters, it's nice to have a gov't controlled by people who listen to complains/dissent!

I wonder too, heh... (4.00 / 1)
Haven't been to a Blazers game at the Rose Garden yet, although I used to work 'em out in the parking lot.  Haven't gone to game in PGE Park yet either (Beavers minor league baseball, Timbers soccer, Portland State University football, etc...), but I hear both places are renowned for at least their beer, amongst stadium connoisseurs...

Big surprise there, eh?

Minor League Baseball is fun (4.00 / 1)
you should check that out next summer.. there's nothing like tailgating and bbqing with beers on a hot summer day... and the baseball is a bonus.

Oh yeah, I love 'em... (4.00 / 1)
I watch the games all the time from the sidewalk (the stadium's set down into a hill, and you can watch the games the sidewalk along the east end / on top of the left-field wall); the train stops right there, and the sidewalk's packed there almost every Beavers home game.  Tons of free fun.  Never been in the stadium itself, though...

I'm gonna miss it when they move.  The Timbers are moving up to Major League Soccer in 2 years, and one of the rules is that they need their own stadium.  The Portland Beavers (San Diego Padres AAA affiliate) are homeless at the moment, and might have to even leave the area.  They'll be playing at PGE again next year, but after that, who knows?  Three or four stadium deals (at least two here in Portland, one out in the suburb of Beaverton) have already fallen through...

373 violations (4.00 / 1)
Fined $3,900?

Less than $10 per violation?

Hello?

Is my calculator working right?

[ Parent ]
Heh, okay guys. (4.00 / 1)
No obvious comments about my brain not working right, please. I agree with all y'all - it's more than $10.

bialys and New York bagels (4.00 / 2)
Apparently someone recently ascertained that it IS NYC h2o that makes bagels from New York so tasty.
