It's seems the rural rubes, like me, have been played big time by FB.
Not being a member that's about the extent of my knowlage of FB. But I'm not surprised at the info from the 60 minutes piece. Anymore, it seems that if an organization gets bigger than a local or semi-regional group, then the original principles go out the window and everyone buys into the money/power/globalist attitude.
Look at the crap we keep getting fed - "It's our responsibility to feed the world". What a load. It's the world's responsibility to feed the world, as in, it's every country's responsibility to feed itself. All this 'We've got to feed the world' mantra is for is to get everyone to support the multinationals at our expense so they can get rich at our expense. Regarding locavores as elitists - explain to me how supporting local business is elitist....
The Farmers Union has it's own problems. But compared to the FB they are angels.
